Email PageThis study examined five techniques of estimating live cattle body weight in order to identify the most reliable technique for field use. Brown Swiss and Jersey cows were used to test the methods. It was concluded that Schaeffer’s formula was the most reliable followed by weigh tape, and that Agarwal’s formula and Rondo tape were less accurate.
